Haiti Babii just shook up the rap game with one of the most interesting, unique, and out of line freestyles we’ve seen this year.

Born in Oakland but raised in Stockton, the “Without You” MC recently caught the attention of the masses online, including Chrissy Teigen who proceeded to show hubby John Legend. He even received the ultimate cosign from Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee.

While his most recent offering, Warrior, arrives without all the antics and adlibs, Haiti Babii explains how this is just one side of his art.

In regards to the video, Real 92.3 DJ Hed’s face says it all. AllHipHop caught up with Haiti Babii to discuss what exactly was going through his head and why.

AllHipHop: What was your mindset going into the Real 92.3 freestyle?

Haiti Babii: Just rapping! Talking, musical sounds. I was just going off the energy in the room. I felt the energy, the vibe, so it kicked in!

AllHipHop: What was the energy and vibe!

Haiti Babii: It was positive! It was a mixture, also kind of dark too because the energy was “I don’t believe what he’s doing.” It feels like multiple personalities but it’s really not. It’s really me getting comfortable.

AllHipHop: Did you know it was going to go viral?

Haiti Babii: I already knew. Everything I do goes viral.

AllHipHop: I listen to your music and this wasn’t like anything I’ve heard.

Haiti Babii: That’s the beginning me, because all that music’s already been made. You get to hear the evolution, the evolved Haiti Babii.

AllHipHop: What was that we saw in the freestyle?

Haiti Babii: Funk rap, that’s the genre. It’s funky. It gives you a new feel, abundance of sound. Misleads you every time. Everybody’s attention span is short, so switch! Switch! Switch! Switch! Mislead, throw curveballs. I like unorthodox, wow, all over the place type energy. Energetic. There’s no reason to be dark.

AllHipHop: Did you know who Chrissy Teigen was?

Haiti Babii: No I didn’t know until she posted it, then I checked her out. I was like “damn! That’s blessings.”

AllHipHop: What can we expect for you music-wise next?

Haiti Babii: Some twilight zone s##t, some funky s##t. Some s##t that’s out of this world. Weird sounds. I’m bringing everything you think you not going to do in the studio, I’m doing it. I’m bringing it to your ears.
