(AllHipHop News) Lil Yachty will star in the remake of the 2001 cult classic "How High," which originally starred Golden Era emcees Redman and Method Man. The movie is a sequel and "How High 2" has started shooting.
The movie originally featured Red & Meth as a pair of stoners that wreak comedic havoc on a college campus. According to Variety, Lil Boat will play a young entrepreneur named Roger, who is also the younger brother of one of either Red or Meth. Yachty and a friend attempt to start up a business but must get cash to get going. The result is a "hash fueled" adventure.
The movie started shooting in Atlanta this week. Red and Meth's involvement is unclear.
“How High 2” is directed by Bruce Leddy and written by Alex Blagg, Neel Shah, Shawn Ries, and Artie Johann. Lil Yachty and Kevin “Coach K” Lee are apart of the team that is executive producing the movie. “How High 2” is produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment and MTV.
This isn't the first time acting for Lil Boat, as he has been on George Lopez's show “Lopez” and done voice work on “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.”
The movie will hit MTV in 2019.
