(AllHipHop News) They may not have landed in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame this time around, but N.W.A. just landed a writer for its Ice Cube produced movie, "Straight Outta Compton."
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the planned Universal Pictures movie will be written by Jonathan Herman, who has written several movies for the company as of late.
The N.W.A. movie follows the lives of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, MC Ren and Arabian Prince (who was only a part of the group for a brief time) during their rise to fame in the 1980's.
Veteran video and film-maker F. Gary Gray is still reported to be attached to the project as the film's Director.
