IDK Announces Soundtrack LP And Adult Swim Visual Series

The DMV’s rising star partners with the cable network for an innovative, conceptual project.

(AllHipHop News) Jason Mills may have dropped the “Jay” from his stage name, but IDK is still delivering the high-quality music presented on 2015’s SubTrap and 2016’s Empty Bank.

Up next for IDK is a full-length soundtrack LP dropping in September. The DMV spitter teamed with Adult Swim for the project as well as a self-produced visual series.

Like SubTrap and Empty Bank, the upcoming body of work will be conceptual with each track serving as an episode in the real life narrative of the emcee. IDK is set to explore topics such as gentrification and street life on the project.

"There's no more rules to this sh*t, the music game is open, and it's about who can be the most innovative,” IDK tells AllHipHop.

A taste of that inventive collaboration comes in the form of "Baby Scale.” The song is part of the Adult Swim 2017 Singles series.

Previously, IDK released the cut “OMW.” Issa Rae’s HBO show Insecure featured the record on the season 2 episode “Hella LA.”
