Incarcerated City Girls Member JT Thanks Cardi B, Fans & Celebs From Prison

"That means a lot to me because I honestly look up to you."

(AllHipHop News) City Girls dropped their Girl Code LP last Friday. Despite group member JT being behind bars in federal prison, the project received considerable attention in the Hip Hop community.

Quality Control Music co-founder/CEO Pierre "Pee" Thomas posted a phone call from JT to his Instagram page. The conversation included the South Florida native addressing Cardi B and City Girls fans.

"First of all, I would like to thank Cardi for getting on the 'Twerk' record. That means a lot to me because I honestly look up to you. I cannot wait to see the video. I know you gonna do your thing, you and Caresha [Yung Miami]," said the entertainer born Jatavia Johnson. "I also want to thank the City Girls and the City Boys for all their support."

She went on to express gratitude to celebrities like Tameka "Tiny" Harris, Antonia "Toya" Johnson, and Reginae Carter for posting about the duo's album on social media. Besides Cardi B, Girl Code also featured Lil Baby and Jaquees.
