(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang Clan founding member Inspectah Deck is staying busy, after the success of the group's acclaimed Showtime docuseries "Of Mics and Men."
In addition to working with his Wu brethren on brand-new EP inspired by the four-part series, Inspectah Deck has announced he is dropping a solo album later this year.
The rapper is going to tap into the power of technology, by using tracks from samples entirely curated from the Tracklib platform.
Tracklib features a huge catalog of music artists can sample, in addition to isolating instruments, such as the drums, bass or horn sections.
In fact, J. Cole and producer T-Minus used Tracklib's service to craft the Fayetteville, North Carolina rapper's hit single "Middle Child."
Inspectah Deck has all of his producers lineup, but he saved one spot to give an aspiring producer a shot at making a classic track for a bonafide legend.
Inspectah Deck is calling on producers to make a beat using a sample on Tracklib, and he will personally select the winning track, and pay for an all-expense paid trip to New York for the winner to complete the track in the studio.
Of course, the winning producer will receive full writing credit and compensation.
The contest ends May 31st. Email your Tracklib produced production to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can submit as many beats as you like, but only one beat per email.
