(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop has always been braggadocious and competitive. So, it comes as no surprise that J. Cole is stepping up to claim the culture's current crown.
Cole dropped his latest single last night, and "Middle Child" is lighting up the internet. One reason for all of the online attention is because it appears the Dreamville leader through more subliminal shots at Kanye West, but it's also because Cole declared himself the best in the business.
"To the OGs, I'm thanking you now. Was watching you when you was paving the ground. I copied your cadence, I mirrored your style. I studied the greats, I'm the greatest right now," raps Jermaine on the song.
J. Cole will have more chances in the near future to prove he's the contemporary king of rap music. Dreamville is preparing to let loose the Revenge Of The Dreamers III compilation. Plus, Cole has talked about releasing two more solo projects soon.
