(AllHipHop News) Some Hip Hop pundits have expressed being uncertain about the impact of J. Cole's "Middle Child." In contrast, it appears Hip Hop fans are enjoying the record.
"Middle Child" opened at #26 on Billboard's Hot 100 with just two days of tracking. This gives the Dreamville Records leader his 40th career entry on the chart, and his 21st song to reach the Top 30.
The single has been in either the #1 or #2 slots on Spotify's daily Top 200 chart for six straight days with over 18 million streams during that time period. "Middle Child" is also in the #1 spot on the Apple Music Top 100 chart, and it controls the #5 position on the iTunes Songs chart after reaching #1 on the list.
Plus, the official audio for the T-Minus-produced track has collected 12 million plays on YouTube. It's still not clear if "Middle Child" will appear on a potential Cole solo album or the star-studded Dreamville compilation Revenge Of The Dreamers III.
