(AllHipHop News) Five days ago, it appeared that J. Cole’s “Middle Child” was on pace to have a huge jump up the Hot 100 in its second official week. The record opened at #26 after only just two days of tracking, but it rose all the way to #4 on this week’s chart.
“Middle Child” is now the highest charting single in Cole’s career. His previous leader was the KOD track “ATM” which hit #6 in May 2018.
The North Carolina-bred emcee now has 40 all-time entries on the Hot 100. "Deja Vu,” "Kevin's Heart,” and "KOD" all reached the Top 10 too.
“Middle Child” has collected over 18 million plays on YouTube in twelve days. Cole’s latest song also led the January 31 Spotify Weekly Top 200 chart with 20,663,232 streams.
