is looking for artists for his new label, J Records. He recently

purchased a full floor for the new labels office space, located

at 745 Fifth Avenue, 6th Floor in New York City.

The new office has

views of Central Park and is close to the street. The office is

also a few blocks from The Arista Building, which is located at

6 West 57th Street. J Records, which received nearly $150 Million

in financing, and is still under the BMG group of labels, signed

a 10 year deal for the entire 6th floor of the building. Clive

Davis is best known for his leadership abilities, running CBS,

and being responsible for bringing in such powerhouse labels as

LaFace, Rowdy and Bad Boy.

Davis also announced

that he will give Wyclef Jean his own imprint, Clef Records. Wyclef

will be responsible for finding and signing new talent, and J

Records will cover the sales, marketing, distribution and promotion

of his label, which is a 50-50 joint venture.
