Some of the scions of rap royalty are headed to the small screen.

(AllHipHop News) Another Hip Hop-centered reality show is coming to television. Following Los Angeles and Atlanta versions, WE tv is taking its Growing Up Hip Hop franchise to the culture's birthplace.

Growing Up Hip Hop: New York will involve several rap legends. Ja Rule and his children Jeff Bruce Atkins Jr. and Brittney Atkins are part of the cast. WE tv also enlisted Irv Gotti and his kids (Angie Pearson and Jonathan “JJ” Wilson Lorenzo) as well as Fat Joe and his son (Ryan Cartagena).

Additionally, the offspring of Charli Baltimore, Old Dirty Bastard, Flavor Flav, Rev. Run, and DJ Kid Capri will showcase their lives on GUHHNY. The program will also feature rapper/actress Lil Mama and her brother Arnstar.

The latest edition of the series premieres this summer. Each episode will be an hour-long presentation of the New York-bred Hip Hop heirs on a mission to prove they are "more than just the sons and daughters of their famous parents."
