(AllHipHop News) Throughout Jada Pinkett and Will Smith's highly publicized 16 year marriage rumors of infidelity and swinger behavior has appeared. Recently, Jada took to her persona Facebook account to address those rumors after they reappeared following her April 3rd interview with Huffpost Live.
In the interview, Jada reveals that the couple have flexible committed relationship which operates on a shared mentality on infidelity:
"‘You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay.’”
Jada reiterated this sentiment in her Facebook message to her fans. After posing a few questions on the conventions of love, Jada updated her definition of her marriage:
Here is how I will change my statement...Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship...this means we have a GROWN one.
The former star of Hawthorne also referred to her husband as her "best friend". This is not the first time the power couple has elucidated the nature of their marriage. In July of 2008, Will informed the UK Newspaper Now that him and his wife discuss with one another before having sex outside of the marriage:
If it came down to it, then one would say to the other: "Look, I need to have sex with somebody. Now I’m not going to do it if you don’t approve of it
Jada is preparing to star and co-produce a Colombian film La escribana de uraba (Scribe) through her and Will's Overbrook Entertainment. She also produced the documentary Free Angela and All Political Prisoners which chronicles Angela Davis' political activism and court cases during the racially tumultuous 1970's.
Free Angela and All Political Prisoners is out now.
