Janelle Monáe To Induct Janet Jackson Into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

Miss Jackson is being honored in the Cleveland museum for her contributions to music and culture.

(AllHipHop News) Pop/R&B icon Janet Jackson was finally selected for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The five-time Grammy winner is part of the 2019 class with The Cure, Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music, and The Zombies.

Dirty Computer album creator Janelle Monáe will give the induction speech for Jackson. In past years, the individuals that introduce the inductee usually perform with the new Rock Hall member during the event.

During her decades-long career in the music industry, Janet earned ten #1 hits and seven #1 albums. She heavily influenced other artists such as Aaliyah, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Jhené Aiko, Katy Perry, Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, Nicki Minaj, Normani, Teyana Taylor, TLC, and more.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for March 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. HBO will air a special broadcast of the show on April 27.
