(AllHipHop News) Rapper Jay Electronica returned to Twitter last night (July 2), and dropped some information that his fans have been waiting for.
The rapper cryptically revealed a message detailing the plans for the follow-up to his 2007 album, Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge).
Apparently, Jay Electronica took some inspiration from the movie "The Prestige," a film about two dueling magicians.
“Every great magic trick consists of three parts or acts,” Jay Electronica Tweeted referencing the 2006 movie.
“The first part is called #ThePledge. The magician shows you something ordinary: a deck of cards, a bird or a M A N,” Jay E wrote. “He shows you this object. Perhaps he asks you to inspect it to see if it is indeed real, unaltered, normal. But of course..it probably isn't."
The rapper then tweeted: “The 2nd Act is called #TheTurn. This is where #TheMagician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something EXTRAORDINARY.”
The tweet had lead many to believe that Jay Electronica’s highly anticipated second album Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn), will be released soon.
Although there was no release date attached, Jay Electronica's confirmed whatever he is planning will come through Jay Z’s streaming music platform, Tidal.
This is not the first time Jay Electronica has teased fans with the release of The Turn. In 2012, the New Orleans rapper hinted at a pending release for the album and again in 2014.
In a Periscope rant in February in which Jay E threatened to slap 50 Cent’s "f##kin eye balls loose,” he also claimed that he recorded 25 different versions of The Turn.
This time the rapper, who signed with Roc Nation in 2010, delivered a final message to fans that seemed to leave no doubt that Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn) is finally on the way.
“To all those who have been patient with me and supported me over the years, thank you. And get #Tidal #AreYouWatchingClosely?”
