(AllHipHop News) The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival is scheduled to begin on April 18. According to Entertainment Weekly, Jay-Z's six-part docuseries Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story will be among the content to premiere at the Manhattan event.

Rest In Power is based on a book written by the slain teenager's parents Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton. They will be in attendance at Tribeca to address the audience following the screening.

Trayvon Martin was killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in 2012. The controversial shooting and subsequent trial became national news stories and helped ignite the Black Lives Matter movement.

Jay-Z has been outspoken about his criticism of the second-degree murder case and the justice system. The legendary emcee/businessman even addressed Zimmerman in his verse on DJ Khaled's "Top Off" single.

"Meanwhile Georgie Porgie sinning and sending me threats. Save your breath, you couldn't beat a flight of steps. Try that sh-t with a grown man. I'll kill that f-ckboy with my own hand," raps Hov.
