Jay-Z To Re-Open The Renovated Webster Hall With "B-Sides 2" Concert

Will Hov perform an updated "Stream Of Consciousness" inside the NYC landmark?

(AllHipHop News) Back in 2015, Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter held a special “Tidal X: Jay Z B-Sides" concert in Terminal 5. Jay is bringing the "B-Sides" concept back to New York City later this month.

The Brooklyn-born Hip Hop mogul will hit the stage at the renovated Webster Hall on April 26. "Day 1" Jay-Z fans will have access to the show that will reopen the Manhattan venue.

Webster Hall closed in August 2017 after it was acquired by Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. Other acts scheduled to perform in the coming months at the 133-year-old space include Patti Smith, MGMT, and Chromeo.

“When we were thinking about who would be the right choice to open this legendary venue, we knew it had to be a world-famous New York City icon,” stated BSE Global CEO Brett Yormark. “No one fits that description better than Jay-Z, who will join an unparalleled list of celebrated performers who have played Webster Hall.”

The original "B-Sides" event featured appearances by Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz, Freeway, Jay Electronica, and Jeezy. Jay-Z also made headlines for the performance of his "Tidal Freestyle (Stream Of Consciousness)" which included critiques of Google, YouTube, Apple, and Spotify.
