(AllHipHop News) The 2018 midterm elections take place tomorrow (November 6). Numerous celebrities - such as Oprah Winfrey, Will Ferrell, Taylor Swift, Michael B. Jordan, and Travis Scott - have voiced their support for candidates across the country.
This weekend, R&B singer-songwriter John Legend lent his star power to Ohio's Democratic political contenders. The EGOT winner joined former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder in the Buckeye State.
"Great to be back in my home state of Ohio supporting amazing Democrats running for office this year. If you live in Ohio, be sure to vote [Sherrod Brown] for Senate, [Rich Cordray] for Gov, yes on Issue 1 and Dem up and down the ticket!" tweeted Legend.
Holder wrote on Twitter, "Great to be with you [John Legend]. Thanks for using your voice to urge people to vote and to shed a light on important issues like criminal justice reform and ending gerrymandering. Our country is better for your efforts."
According to Real Clear Politics, Brown is leading Republican Jim Renacci 47.5% to 40% in an average of recent polls. Cordray is currently on pace to defeat Republican Mike DeWine by 4.7 percentage points.
