(AllHipHop News) Director John Singleton has slipped into a coma, after suffering from a stroke last week.
The filmmaker had a stroke on April 17 after he returned home from a trip to Costa Rica and complained of pain in his legs.
He was rushed to Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles and has not regained consciousness since.
The 51-year-old was reportedly in the process of closing some big deals, so his mother is asking a judge to name her a temporary conservator, so she can handle John's affairs and make decisions on his behalf since he is incapacitated.
John Singleton has directed a number of classic movies, including "Boyz n the Hood," "Baby Boy," "Shaft," and "Hustle & Flow," "Higher Learning" and "Poetic Justice."
