Jordan Peele Picks Up 3 Oscar Nominations For 'Get Out'

Daniel Kaluuya is up for Best Actor.

(AllHipHop News) Jordan Peele is a triple nominee for this year's Academy Awards. The Get Out filmmaker/producer found out this morning he was nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director. Additionally, his thriller got a nod for Best Picture.

Get Out is competing against Call Me By Your Name, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, Lady Bird, Phantom Thread, The Post, The Shape of Water, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri in the Best Picture category. The Best Director list also consists of Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk), Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), Paul Thomas Anderson (Phantom Thread), and Guillermo Del Toro (The Shape of Water).

Besides Peele's writing, The Big Sick, Lady Bird, The Shape of Water, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri were nominated for Best Original Screenplay. Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya has a chance to take home the Oscar for Best Actor as well.

The 90th Academy Awards are scheduled for March 4. The ceremony will air live on ABC.
