Jordan Peele Wins Best Original Screenplay Oscar For 'Get Out'

(AllHipHop News) Madtv alum Jordan Peele is now an Oscar winner. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honored the Get Out writer/director with the award for Best Original Screenplay.

Peele made history by becoming the first African-American to win the Best Original Screenplay Academy Award. He used his acceptance speech to thank moviegoers.

"To everybody who went and saw this movie, everybody who bought a ticket, who told somebody to buy a ticket - thank you," said 39-year-old filmmaker. "I love you for shouting out at the theater, for shouting out at the screen. I love all, thank you so much goodnight."
