Juvenile Announces He Has Re-Signed With Cash Money (VIDEO)

THE PRODIGAL SON RETURNS HOME

(AllHipHop News) When Cash Money Records first became a national brand in the late 1990’s, the label’s lead star was “Back That Azz Up” rapper Juvenile. The company and the New Orleans native eventually parted ways, but Juve has announced he is back with YMCMB. He spoke with MTV about the new deal.

“It’s already done,” said Juvenile on signing with Cash Money again. “I signed the paperwork a couple of days ago. I’m signed back – Rich Gang. I’m getting ready to get my tattoo and everything.”

The two parties did have their differences in the past. Juvenile once claimed the label cheated him out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. There was also reportedly tension surrounding claims that Juve’s Beast Mode album cover was “biting” Drake’s Thank Me Later artwork.

Despite the history, Cash Money co-founder Birdman believes it is the right time for Juvenile to return to the label where his career began.

“Even though we been through what we been through, I just feel like the time is right,” added Birdman. “We got him with Young London, who’s probably one of the best producers in the game right now.”

Juvenile reunited with Birdman and some other members of CMB’s early roster at the 2013 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. Juve took the stage to perform alongside fellow Hot Boys Lil Wayne and Turk as well as producer Mannie Fresh.
