(AllHipHop News) According to Kanye, he was bullied during his recent appearance on "Saturday Night Live," due to his decision to wear a "Make America Great Again" hat during a portion of his show.
"They screamed at me. They bully me. They bullied me backstage," Kanye told the studio audience. "They said don’t go out there with that hat on. They bullied me backstage. They bullied me.”
Even Donald Trump Jr took to Twitter to scold SNL's producers for their treatment of Kanye during his guest appearance.
But the heated quarrel actually took place between the rapper and a member of his inner circle - Malik Yusef.
Malik Yusef has been nominated for 24 Grammys, and he has produced songs for Beyonce, Jay-Z and of course, his homie Kanye West.
During an exclusive interview with AllHipHop, Malik explained that he was the one who got into an explosive argument with Kanye West over the MAGA hat backstage at SNL.
The argument spiraled out of control when Malik told Kanye:
“'I’m not gonna be around you if you wear that MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat.' And I left out of 'Saturday Night Live.' I was embarrassed to tell Chris Rock. I was leaving out when he was coming in with his daughters. He was like, 'Aye Malik, come back upstairs.' I was like, 'Yeah, I’ll be back,” and I was leaving to go to my hotel.'"
Kanye, still fuming, hit the stage and told the viewers he was being "bullied" backstage over his political views, although he didn't mention any names.
Backstage was a different story.
"He said I bullied him, and that’s not true. He said that in front of his daughter North, and it hurt my feelings," Malik Yusef told AllHipHop.
