Kanye West & Kid Cudi Reportedly Submitted Work In The Grammy Rock Categories

Could Kids See Ghosts take home the coveted honor as Rock artists?

(AllHipHop News) A lot of Hip Hop pundits concede that it will be a tight race in the Grammy rap categories for 2018. Apparently, Kanye West and Kid Cudi are moving over to the Rock section for nomination consideration.

TMZ reports the Kids See Ghosts members submitted their song "Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)" featuring Ty Dolla $ign for "Best Rock Song" and "Best Rock Performance.” This is an interesting move since Kanye and Cudi’s joint album is listed under the Hip-Hop/Rap label on iTunes.

However, Kids See Ghosts does incorporate elements of psychedelic rock. The 7-track LP was part of the G.O.O.D. Music label’s “Wyoming 5” album series which could also earn West a Grammy nod for Producer of the Year.

Kanye is one of the most celebrated artists in the history of the Recording Academy. The superstar has won a total of 21 Grammy Awards. Kid Cudi earned one golden gramophone for his contribution on Ye’s “All Of The Lights.”
