Kardinal Offishall, Belly Help Recognize Top Canadian DJ's

Canadian rappers Kardinal Offishall, Belly, Addictiv and Jully Black have been confirmed as participants in the 2007 Rogers Stylus DJ Awards, which takes place in Toronto, Canada.

Belly, Addictiv and Jr. Flo will perform during the awards ceremony, which honors Canada's top DJ's, rappers, musicians and record labels in 23 different categories

Jr. Flo, who is also nominated in three categories (DJ of the Year, Mixtape DJ of the Year and Club DJ of the Year) will perform backed by his band The Symphony.

Palestinian native Belly is up for Canadian Hip-Hop Single of the Year and he will give a special performance with The Dogg Pound's Kurupt, while R&B singer Addictiv (R&B Single of the Year) will perform alongside a surprise, internationally known guest.

Kardinal Offishall, who recently signed a deal with Akon's Konvict Muzik and is planning a new album, will serve as one of the evening's presenters.

"The outstanding Canadian talent that will be performing as well as presenting at the Stylus DJ Awards will make for a unique and exciting show," said Mike Zafiris, creator of the Stylus DJ Awards.

The Stylus Awards will also induct two pioneering DJ crews into the Stylus DJ Awards Canadian Hall of Fame as well.

Killowatt Productions, which emerged in the late 1970's, was one of the only DJ crews that included a female DJ and a female MC, while Confederation Park will be inducted for their accomplishments in the Canadian urban music industry.

The 2007 Rogers Stylus DJ Awards will take place on Monday, June 4 at 8:00 PM in Toronto at the Palais Royale Ballroom.
