Kash Doll Explains Motivation Behind "Ready Set" Song Featuring Big Sean

Sevyn Streeter and Dreezy make cameos in the "Spirit of Detroit" award winner's racecar-themed MV.

(AllHipHop News) Detroit's Kash Doll linked with fellow Motor City rapper Big Sean for her new single "Ready Set." A Jesse Ray Diamond-directed music video hit YouTube on August 5. Teyana "Spike Tee" Taylor served as Creative Director for the visuals.

"'Ready Set' is a motivational and aspirational song. I wanted to let people know if I can make it, despite the things I’ve been through, they can do it too. I’m a D girl so I’m determined," explained Kash. Her latest presentation follows the Republic recording artist's "Hustla" mini-movie released in April.

This has been a big year for the stripper-turned-rapper born Arkeisha Knight. Meek Mill tapped Kash Doll to be an opening act for "The Motivation Tour." She also earned a Best Female Hip-Hop Artist nomination at the 2019 BET Awards.
