Kash Doll Talks 'Kelly Chronicles' Mini-Movie Series About Strip Club Dancers

The "Ice Me Out" rhymer is offering her followers a cautionary tale.

(AllHipHop News) Detroit rapper Arkeisha "Kash Doll" Knight recently released a new mini-movie titled Hustla. The 6-minute presentation is the first part of a series of videos following a fictional exotic dancer named Kelly.

Kelly Chronicles is a story based on things I’ve seen in the real world strip club life, although thankfully it’s not my own experience. I wanted to show girls that it’s not all glitz and glamour. Sometimes women sacrifice their peace of mind, dignity and most importantly self-worth,” says Kash Doll.

She continues, “Kelly Chronicles will be an ongoing story. As a former dancer, I used to be in that world, and I want girls to know it’s not just what you see on social media. There are stories of missing girls with cases still open because of situations like these. With this mini-movie series, I’m speaking on situations that come from living that lifestyle. There is a lot of peer pressure and you can easily get led in the wrong direction. I want to give these women a voice, and make sure these stories and cautionary tales are told.”

Knight began dancing in strip clubs at the age of 18 in order to make money for her music career. Her entry into the recording industry began with 2014's independent mixtape Keisha Vs. Kash Doll. That project was followed by Trapped In The Dollhouse, Brat Mail, and The Vault.

In 2018, the BMI Social Star Award and BET Social Award winner released her debut Republic Records single "Ice Me Out." The song has amassed more than 15 million views on YouTube since its premiere in November. Kash Doll also opened for Meek Mill on “The Motivation Tour” earlier this year.
