Kendrick Lamar Named Hardest Working Touring Rapper of 2013
(AllHipHop News) In 2013, no other rap artist covered as much ground or worked harder on the road than Kendrick Lamar according to Songkick. According to Songkick, Kendrick Lamar is the hardest working touring rapper of the past 12 months.
The live music tracking site Songkick tabulated every artists' number of shows performed and distance traveled to rank the hardest working artist of 2013. According to Songkick's data, Kendrick Lamar performed 171 shows and travelled 229,583 miles. The only other music act to top Kendrick's total is fellow L.A. residents Local Natives who played 188 shows and covered 192, 486 miles.
Lamar's accomplishment could have been predicted after Songkick named Kendrick Lamar hardest working touring artist of the festival season having performed 2760 minutes at over 46 festivals.
Kendrick Lamar has been on Kanye West's Yeezus tour since mid-October and plans to finish up on December 23rd at AirCanada Centre. However, Lamar will only be off the road for three weeks before joining Eminem and J. Cole in Auckland, New Zealand on February 15th.
