(AllHipHop News) Tupac Shakur knew his death was imminent, according to former protege Keyshia Cole.
The singer claims she and the rap superstar were working on a collaboration when he was shot and killed during a drive-by in Las Vegas in 1996, and looking back she feels sure Tupac had a sense his time on earth was coming to a close.
"He told me that we were gonna do a song together the night that he got shot in Vegas," she told talk show host Steve Harvey.
"It was just weird, because the night that he was saying he wanted me to work with him when we got back to L.A., it seemed like he was talking like he knew he wasn't gonna make it, just giving me a lot of advice, like, 'Don't worry about things, you're gonna be a huge star, you're a beautiful person'."
Tupac also gave the young Keyshia a lot of relationship advice, urging her to stay away from men who just liked the way she looked.
"(He said), 'Guys are gonna wanna love you because you're beautiful, but it's also gonna be another reason why they're gonna hurt you, so you just gotta stay focused and no matter what read, read, read; they can never take the knowledge from you...'," she recalled him saying.
Keyshia admits she had an inkling something was wrong.
"I was like, 'Why are you talking like this?'"
