(AllHipHop News) Kodak Black is making use of his time behind bars in a major way.
Earlier this year, news was revealed the Haitian rapper asked the judge to take his GED.
Not only did this show signs of improvement, but it showed he wanted to improve his education.
On Friday, June 30, Kodak officially received his high school diploma and announced the celebratory news to his Instagram.
The caption reads, “I just received my high school diploma today and although it is a big accomplishment for me I am yearning for more. I appreciate my teachers Mr. Williams and Mr. Ward for those times when I would get frustrated you worked diligently to make sure I had the right materials and was ready for this big day. Those Saturday classes and putting in over time studying paid of. Momma I know I’m late but I got it. #ThatsHowYouStep #CapAndGownPicsComingSoon.”
Kodak, real name Dieuson Octave, was sentenced to serve a year behind bars after he was slapped with a number of felony counts following a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team raid on the Florida home he was sharing with friends in January.
Since being incarcerated, Kodak Black has also changed his name and is legally known as Bill K. Kapri.
