(AllHipHop News) Kodak Black has been dealing with a high volume of negative press in 2019. He faced backlash for his comments about Lauren London, got arrested at the Canada-US border, and still has a rape trial pending. The "Zeze" hitmaker is now seeing his name in a positive headline.

According to TMZ, Kodak is helping 14-year-old Paige Cook purchase school supplies for students in the Cleburne Independent School District. The rapper's lawyer, Bradford Cohen, informed the outlet that his client spent $12,500 on notebooks for the Texas pupils.

It's not clear when Kodak's altruistic effort took place. Cook's "kindness project" to collect pencils for teachers and students began last fall. That pencil drive reportedly ended in January. Her mother told TMZ that Paige was looking to collect notebooks and 60,000 pencils this year.

“Our teachers are always handing out pencils,” said Cook. “Some kids can’t afford them or they lose them. I think the teachers buy a lot of the pencils they give out. I just thought this would be a great way to help the teachers and let them know they are appreciated.”
