Kodak Black's 'Project Baby 2' Opens At #2; Dave East Earns First Top 10 Album With 'Paranoia'

This week, the two rappers have two of the best selling projects in the country.

(AllHipHop News) Kodak Black has scored the highest charting project of his career so far. His Project Baby 2 debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 50,000 equivalent album units.

The Atlantic Records artist just missed the top spot by 8,000 units. The Rock band Brand New's Science Fiction landed at #1 (58,000 units).

This is Kodak's second Top 5 commercial release of 2017. Painting Pictures arrived in March and opened at #3 (71,000 units).

Harlem emcee Dave East also earned a personal best on the Billboard 200. Paranoia: A True Story came in this week at #9 (26,000 units). That gives East his first Top 10 project.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar continues to maintain a Top 5 position. The West Coast lyricist's 4-week chart topper Damn falls from #2 to #3 (41,000 units).

DJ Khaled's Grateful drops to #7 (27,000 units). R&B vocalist Khalid, the winner of the Best New Artist honor at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, saw his American Teen LP drop two spots to #6 (29,000 units).
