Kodak Black To Be Released From Jail After Judge Green Lights Plea Deal

KODAK BLACK IS COMING HOME!

(AllHipHop News) Pompano Beach rapper Kodak Black will be free from confinement, as Judge Lisa Porter has approved the rapper’s plea deal on an array of charges.

Kodak Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was facing charges of robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

The rapper was looking at a maximum sentence of 55 years, but he will now be allowed a second chance.

He must complete a year of house arrest and five years probation.

Kodak Black will also have to undergo drug evaluations, anger management classes, 300 hours of community service, and be required to complete a mentor program.

Octave was initially arrested in October 2015 after being accused of forcing several people into a car in response to suspecting somebody was breaking into his home.

The rapper would be released on bond following this incident.

However, he was arrested again in Hallandale Beach, after being busted in a drug transaction while in his vehicle before attempting to flee.

His bond was revoked following this scenario with the artist serving 96 days in jail until Tuesday’s hearing.

In addition to approving the plea deal, Judge Porter also withheld adjudication for the rapper, which means that he will not go down on record as a convicted felon.

“We’re happy that it gives him the opportunity to demonstrate that he’s a productive member of society,” says Gary Kollin, who along with Miami-based lawyer Allan Stephen Zamren, represented Kodak Black.
