(AllHipHop News) Fuse Media is set to present adult-centered comedy by greenlighting Sugar and Toys. Carl Jones and Brian Ash - producers of The Boondocks and Black Dynamite - are back to providing social commentary on pop culture and politics with the animated half-hour series.
“Our platforms are fast becoming destinations for hard-to-reach, young viewers that demand content that takes a stand by tapping into their passions and values through the musicians and influencers we feature in our series,” said J-T Ladt, Fuse Media's chief content officer.
Ladt continues, “We are excited to be entering into the impactful animation space in a big way with the provocative Sugar and Toys while renewing our franchise series that are breaking audience records across all our platforms.”
Hip Hop artist Kyle Harvey is serving as Co-Executive Producer for Sugar and Toys. The "iSpy" rapper/The After Party actor will also host the show which will consist of original animated programs and live-action segments.
Carl Jones, Brian Ash, Aengus James, and Colin King Miller are credited as Executive Producers. Lalo Alcaraz was named a Consulting Producer. Sugar and Toys is produced by This is Just a Test and 245 Enterprise. The show is set to premiere on Fuse in mid-2019.
