(AllHipHop News) Nipsey Hussle was revered for his community activism.
Just before he was shot and killed in front of his Marathon Clothing Store, he was scheduled to meet with top officials at the LAPD to help put an end to gun violence.
Unfortunately, Nipsey never had the chance to follow through on his meeting, after he was shot and killed in front of his business on March 31.
Nipsey may have never agreed to the meeting had he known he was being investigated by the same people he was trying to work with.
Reps for the Los Angeles Police Department have verified they were looking into Nipsey's activities at the strip mall, which houses his clothing store and several other local businesses.
The police said an ongoing probe centers around gang activity at the strip mall and they are currently investigating a barbershop and cellphone business.
Nipsey, who was an admitted member of The Rollin 60's Crips gang, eventually purchased the entire lot with a group of investors for $2.5 million.
Nipsey's brother Blacc Sam, who currently administers his late brother's estate and businesses, has yet to comment.
