Lauren London Issues First Public Statement Since The Death Of Nipsey Hussle

The movie/TV actress mourns the loss of her beau.

(AllHipHop News) When Nipsey Hussle was killed on March 31, the rapper was survived by his girlfriend Lauren London, their son, and a daughter from a previous relationship. Hussle (born Ermias Asghedom) and London were in a committed relationship for years.

Many of Nipsey's peers in the entertainment industry offered remembrances, condolences, and prayers in the wake of his untimely passing, but London had not publicly addressed the tragic incident. The actress, best known for her performance in ATL, finally posted about losing the love of her life.

London wrote on Instagram:

I am completely lost
I’ve lost my best friend
My sanctuary
My protector
My soul....
I’m lost without you
We are lost without you babe
I have no words

Just days before his murder, GQ published a "30 Questions" video with Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London. The clip has collected over 7.5 million views on YouTube. The couple was also featured in GQ magazine earlier this year.

Nipsey and two other individuals were shot outside the Marathon Clothing store at the corner of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles. Fans of the Grammy-nominated musician are petitioning to have the intersection renamed Nipsey Hussle Way.

Suspected shooter Eric Holder was taken into police custody on Tuesday in connection with the homicide. Investigators reportedly believe Holder killed Hussle over a personal dispute.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore stated, "Mr. Holder walked up on multiple occasions and engaged in a conversation with Nipsey and the others that were there. He left and subsequently came back armed with a handgun, and purposefully and repeatedly fired, striking, and killing Nipsey Hussle.”
