(AllHipHop News) Singer Lauryn Hill is starting 2018 with a clean slate after reportedly paying almost $900,000 to settle her tax debt in New Jersey.
The former Fugees star owed officials at New Jersey's Division of Taxation a total of $895,000 for back taxes relating to earnings for 2012 and 2016.
Hill addressed her tax issues in a post on Instagram last year, insisting she was working towards a resolution, and now, she has settled her debt.
The singer recently paid off the bills on the same day and her case has reportedly been closed.
In 2013, Lauryn served three months behind bars after pleading guilty to three charges of failing to file her tax returns between 2005 and 2007.
