Lawyer For Chris Brown's Alleged Rape Victim Says Investigation Is On Even Though He's Gone
Chris is back home in the United States, but an alleged victims lawyer says Breezy isn't in the clear just yet.
(AllHipHop News) Chris Brown may have declared his own innocence in a rape case unfolding in Paris, France, but a lawyer for the woman says otherwise.
Chris Brown and two members of his crew were briefly detained but never charged, after a female filed a sexual assault complaint against the musician.
She claims she was invited back to Breezy's hotel room at the swanky Mandarin Oriental hotel on January 15.
The 24-year-old Algerian woman's lawyer issued a statement to TheBlast.com saying: “The departure of [Chris Brown] from France, and the other two people implicated, does not affect the continuation of the police investigation, which will continue despite their physical absence.”
In an interview with Closure magazine, the woman said she was after justice and not money.
“These people think they have every right because they’re bling-bling stars,” she said. “I want justice… And I know that in the end, justice will recognize that what I said is true.”
As for Chris, he's maintained his innocence and has even launched a successful clothing line and social media hashtag marketing campaign using with his "This Bitch Lyin" t-shirts.
