(AllHipHop News) NBA Youngboy has broken his silence regarding a violent weekend in Miami, which sent the rap star back to jail.
On Sunday (May 12), NBA Youngboy and his entourage were exiting the Trump International Beach Resort Miami, when a passing Cadillac Escalade started firing at them.
NBA Youngboy's girl was hit in the shoulder, while a man named Mohamad Jradi was caught in the cross-fire and killed by the rapper's entourage, who shot back in self-defense.
The rapper is working with a Baton Rouge defense lawyer named James Manasseh, who claimed the rapper was an “absolute victim.”
“He was the victim of an assassination attempt,” James Manasseh told the Miami-Herald during an interview.
While that may be the case, the judge overseeing NBA Youngboy's 10-year probation for his role in a drive-by shooting was disturbed by a since-deleted post of the rapper talking "smack" online.
If she determines the post featured NBA Youngboy, he will be in violation of his probation, because he is banned from social media.
Meanwhile, NBA Youngboy's lawyer said the rapper is planning on trying to "help" Jradi's family and that he wished the gunmen "would have gotten me, not him,’” according to his lawyer James Manasseh.
