S. Lee Merritt represents a woman known only as Jane Doe, who claims the singer infected her with an STD when she was 19-years-old.
"We remain committed to stopping Kelly from continuing to abuse vulnerable black women and taking the necessary steps to hold him accountable for his actions in the past," S. Lee Merit promised.
The woman recently tried to incriminate R. Kelly with his own words by secretly recording a conversation, but the singer was cautious with his words and requested a meeting face-to-face. because of the legal action.
The Time's Up movement has also co-signed the hashtag #MuteRKelly, calling on radio stations to ban the singer, while urging promoters to cancel his concerts.
