(AllHipHop News) LeBron James announced the HFR x LeBron 16, the basketball superstar's first signature shoe imagined by female designers. The Nike sneakers - created by Brandice Daniel, Kimberly Goldson, Undra Celeste, and Felisha Noel - were unveiled at Harlem’s Fashion Row style awards and fashion show.
In conjunction with the new 16s, LeBron curated his own Apple Music playlist titled The Strongest. The 62-song set includes records by Lauryn Hill, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Aaliyah, Sade, Janelle Monáe, Cardi B, Solange, and other female acts.
“I believe that African American women are some of the strongest people on earth. I grew up around some amazingly strong women and am inspired by the strength I see around, including my mom, wife, and daughter," stated James.
The HFR x LeBron 16 will be released September 7 via the SNKRS app in the U.S only. Additional exclusive playlists from LeBron will be added to Apple Music throughout the upcoming NBA season.
