(AllHipHop News) Los Angeles City Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson announced his plan to name the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and West Slauson Avenue after Nipsey Hussle. Another L.A. resident is in favor of the late emcee/entrepreneur/activist getting his own Crayola color as well.
Two years ago, Vice Media's Creators Twitter account reported the art products company was looking for help naming a new blue crayon. Yesterday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James responded by suggesting "Nipsey Blue 💙" label.
James' tweet received nearly 10,000 likes. Other fans of Nip also posted their own responses suggesting that Crayola select a hue associated with the West Coast musician. According to reports, Crayola followers actually voted for “Bluetiful" in 2017. The brand has not responded to the new Nipsey campaign.
Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom was killed on March 31 outside his Marathon Clothing store located at Crenshaw and Slauson. The Grammy-nominated Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips affiliate was 33 years old.
