(AllHipHop News) 2 Chainz has credited basketball ace LeBron James with helping to scout for talent to feature on the rapper's new album.

2 Chainz took to social media on Tuesday to share the news of his March 1 release, giving the Los Angeles Lakers superstar a shoutout for apparently serving as his artists and repertoire (A&R) agent and overseeing his work on Rap or Go to the League.

"It's been quite the journey to get here. All night studio sessions, reflecting, & opening up on these records or as I call it therapy!" 2 Chainz captioned behind the scenes footage of his studio chats with LeBron.

"This is my each one teach one body of work, I wanna celebrate black excellence! ..... 'Rap Or Go To The League' the album A&R by @kingjames 3/1".

In the accompanying clip, the rapper thanks the athlete for taking the time out of his hectic schedule to meet up in a Los Angeles studio.

"I know you're a busy man...," 2 Chainz tells his pal. "(I) think it'll be shocking to people to know how much input you had on (the album)."

Rap or Go to the League is the follow-up to his 2017 album, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.
