(AllHipHop News) Dominique “Lil Baby” Jones is on the short list of potential Hip Hop Rookie Of The Year winners for 2018. His debut studio albumHarder Than Ever opened at #3 on the Billboard 200, and the Drake collaboration “Yes Indeed” was certified Platinum.
Lil Baby is now providing his fans an intimate look into his upbringing which helped turn him into a rap star. The PREACHERMAN documentary features commentary from Jones’ family members, record producer Quay, and others.
"The streets. I never seen anybody beat 'em. Many before you, many after you. That's the most challenging part to get him to understand. Streets come and go. They leave so much tragedy behind,” says Lil Baby's mother Lashawn Jones.
PREACHERMAN was directed by Mandon Lovett. Quality Control Music heads Pierre "Pee" Thomas and Kevin "Coach K" Lee executive produced the short film.
Up next for the 23-year-old rap neophyte is Drip Harder, a joint project with fellow Atlanta rapper Gunna. Lil Baby is also nominated in the Best New Hip Hop Artist category at the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards.
