Lil Boosie Works With Young Jeezy Before Jail
Lil Boosie is hard at work on a new album before he is officially sentenced to two years in prison in November.
Lil Boosie, born Torrance Hatch, was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to an October 2008 gun charge, as well as his third charge for possession of marijuana.
Now hes in the studio putting the finishing touches on a new untitled album in addition to an upcoming mixtape with Young Jeezy.
"I am looking forward to putting this all behind me and would like to thank my fans and industry fam for their continued support of me and Superbad," Boosie told AllHipHop.com in a statement. I need yall to know that I am still recording and working on a new record that will come out Fall 2010 and I plan to be home in time to promote it. I am also in the studio working on a new mix tape with Young Jeezy and set to release the movie, Ghetto Stories: The Movie by the end of the year. Yall aint 'gon miss me. Believe that."
The rappers latest album Superbad - The Return of Boosie Bad Azz recently landed at #7 on the Billboard Top 200 and #4 on the Top Rap Albums chart.
Lil Boosie will be back in court on November 9, when he will formally be sentenced.
Representatives for the rapper told AllHipHop.com that Boosie may only have to serve one year in jail due to Good Time allowances afforded by the Department of Corrections.
