Lil Flip Defends President Trump As Flooding Continues In Houston
(AllHipHop News) Lil Flip is defending President Donald Trump, after his visit to Houston, Texas, where over 50 inches of rain fell on the city in what meteorologists say is the worst national disaster in America’s history.
President Trump visited the city of Houston on Tuesday (August 29) and immediately drew criticism for his remarks about the size of the crowd that came to see him, instead of helping out with the relief effort.
"Nobody has seen something like this," Trump said. "We won't say congratulations. We don't want to do that. We'll congratulate each other when it's all finished."
TMZ.com caught up with Lil Flip, who felt critics were working overtime to dog out President Donald Trump.
“I feel it's good Donald Trump came to Texas, I feel like it’s the President's duty to get out there with the people on the frontline sometimes and see what's going on. I kinda wish he would have came to Houston as well. Corpus Christi they suffered a lot of damage, we got a lot of family out there. But it's fine. At least He came. He didn’t just sit in his White House and not come. So you get an E for effort for trying.”
Lil Flip said most people who are criticizing the President are doing so from the comfort of their own homes, without taking any action themselves.
“It’s like a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. At the end of the day you can’t never please everybody. Did the critics come out here and help Houston? If you gonna point the finger at somebody, you should be out there. So whoever has a problem with how he handled it, they should go out there and do something as well.”
