Lil Kim Reacts To Rep. Hakeem Jeffries Honoring Her & Other Female Rappers

The “Quiet Storm” spitter thanks the politician and bigs up Cardi B.

(AllHipHop News) Every March is Women’s History Month. To celebrate the occasion this year, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries from New York's 8th Congressional District honored some historic female rappers on the floor of The House of Representatives.

Rep. Jeffries listed his Top 10 female Hip Hop collaborations by Eve, Monie Love, Missy Elliott, Remy Ma, Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, Da Brat, The Lady of Rage, Foxy Brown, and Lil Kim. The shout outs took place two months ago, but the Queen Bee just got around to returning the love to her fellow Brooklynite.

On Monday, Kim posted to Instagram:

OMG I can’t believe I’m just seeing this!! Thank you [Rep. Jeffries] !! I know Women’s History Month has passed, but since it was just Mother’s Day I want to give a big thank you to Congressman Jeffries for recognizing 🙌🏽😻💯 Understand how huge this is, this is the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES!!! I feel so honored to be at the top #1 of the list. Being a woman in the industry is hard enough, so all the women making this list is an accomplishment. Now we just need to add my girl Cardi B. Mother’s Day isn’t just once a year, it’s every day. Happy MUVAS Day!
