Lil Kim’s ‘Hard Core’ Returns To iTunes Charts 22 Years After Its Release

The classic LP is among the most popular projects in the Apple store.

(AllHipHop News) Lil Kim hasn’t released a studio album since 2005. The Queen Bee is planning to drop a full-length set later this year, but her debut effort is gaining traction once again.

The 1996 classic Hard Core saw a resurgence on the iTunes chart this week. Kim’s most famed project jumped into the Top 30 on the All-Genre Album chart and the Top 10 on the Hip-Hop/Rap Album chart. In addition, 2000's The Notorious K.I.M. rose to the Top 20 on the Hip-Hop/Rap chart.

"THIS IS UNBELIEVABLY INSANE!!! My 2 little babies Hard Core and Notorious K.I.M. are [re-charting] and running the victory lap!! Thank you to everyone for the support!! 🙏🏽 God is the greatest!!!," wrote Kim on Instagram.

The newfound interest in Hard Core may be due to the fact that Nicki Minaj remade The Notorious B.I.G.’s "Just Playing (Dreams)" as “Barbie Dreams” for the Queen album. Lil Kim did her own version of the Ready to Die record on Hard Core. Many of the Brooklynite's fans posted about "Dreams" on social media over the last few days.
