Lil Mama: I'm Ready To Record New Music To Prove I'm Good At What I Do

The rapper/singer heads to the studio in the 'GUHHATL' season finale.

(AllHipHop News) Niatia "Lil Mama" Kirkland burst onto the music scene with the 2007 hit record "Lip Gloss." Since that time, the native New Yorker has become more known for an award show interruption and social media squabbles.

Lil Mama has also appeared on reality television programs like America's Best Dance Crew and Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta. On the season finale of GUHHATL, the 29-year-old songwriter makes it clear she's ready to turn her attention back to music.

"The image that people have of me is all that they get through social media. I've also had to grow up in the public eye and figure things out. I'm finally at a place where I can create again," says Lil Mama in a preview clip from the upcoming show.

She continues, "One thing I want to accomplish is to prove to people that I'm really good at what I do. I'm finally ready to step up to reach my goal. It's time to sing."

Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta is scheduled to air Thursday, December 20 at 9 pm ET/PT on WE tv. The "No Ma'am, No Ham, No Turkey" episode will also spotlight the highly publicized violent breakdown involving Shad "Bow Wow" Moss.
