(AllHipHop News) While DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Rico Nasty, and YBN Cordae have earned praise for their rhymes presented as part of this year's XXL Freshman content, the internet has not been as kind to Lil Mosey. The 17-year-old rapper was dragged online for his freestyle and cypher performances.
"Not gone lie my freestyle was trash 🤣 I don’t freestyle as y’all can see. I like to write songs n sing melodies but I tried n had fun. Y’all memes are hella funny tho," tweeted Mosey in response to the criticism.
Atlanta rapper Gunna also raised the eyebrows of some Hip Hop fans. The "Drip Too Hard" rhymer chose not to participate in the XXL freestyles which led to questions of why he did not show off his skills in that format. Gunna responded on his Instagram page.
The YSL Records affiliate posted several pictures of himself holding a handful of $100 bills. The caption for the photos read, "Fuc* a Freestyle...This Style ain’t Free !😤🖕🏽😆✌🏽."
