Lil Nas X's 'Old Town Road' Breaks Hip Hop Record For Longest-Running No. 1

The Columbia recording artist hits Top 40 again with two new records.

(AllHipHop News) It's been a big week for Lil Nas X. The Atlanta-bred rhymer performed with Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus at the Glastonbury Festival. Then LNX announced he is a member of the LGBT community on the last day of Pride Month.

The next day Lil Nas found out he set another record with his breakout hit "Old Town Road." The Country-Trap tune is now the longest-running Hip Hop song at #1 on the Hot 100.

"Old Town Road" clocked its 13th week at the pinnacle of the chart. Lil Nas X passed the respective 12-week runs for Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again," The Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow," and Eminem's "Lose Yourself."

Plus, Lil Nas added two more Top 40 records to his discography. "Panini" debuted at #16 and "Rodeo" with Cardi B debuted at #22 on the latest Hot 100. Both songs appear on the 7 EP which opened at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
